(the daily morning of a teacher)
Every dawn begins a marathon.
Wake up, chase time, rush and cook
not one moment to stop and look.
Boxes stacked up, day lights up
food yet not packed up, forget make up
Hop jump leap and run
some how we see that
things are done.
Step in the school bus
just waiting to start
then take a deep breath,
that's good for the heart.
A touch so magical soothing and fresh
Cool breeze in the morning is
nature at its best.
Parakeets, barbets at every turn and bend
pulsate and greet each young little mind.
A new tree one day
a new berry the next
chirps of melody
blooms of the woods.
At all these in awe,
our children take a look
and learn there's to know
beyond their books.
With clean air aplenty
we drive in such tranquility.
The journey to our school
is full of nature's bounty.
